Oh non! They will not do anything to Tom!! ;D I think Tom entered the ship. Theu cut the scene for the mystery, i think!! I agree with you Claire, i don't want know what's going on in the ship. Even if there was action in the episode, i wanted more! More skitters. For example, when Tom will join Pope, the battle is over but we see nothing of the action. I wondered if my video blocked until Weaver speaks atTom. Maybe the producers will return in the battle in the 2nd season?? At first I thought they had failed in destroying the "building alien"! Apparently not, and after that, aliens have respect for humans! THis is interesting Intriguing as end!!.i love to put my patience to the test ;D

I believe my reaction to Tom boarding (or appearing to board) the ship with Slenderman the Alien (as someone on Tumblr referred to it) can be summed up thusly: (Re: Slenderman...how has a small gust of wind not blown this thing away by now?) Maybe I am speculating a bit to much, but we actually don`t see Tom entering the ship..they cut of before we see it, so something could have changed his mind or Weaver is doing something...i just can`t imagine how they get Tom out of that...but i perfectly understand why the Aliens choose Tom and not another of the Resistance...i would have done the same - he is connected with a harness kid, a strong leader and before he was a normal citizen...I believe if they choose Weaver he had shoot first ask questions later or not..I am really interested what the others would do if they find out about Tom and the fact that Weaver just let him go... Rick would have given the skitters a lot of information about what kind of 2IC Tom is, his sons and the interpersonal relationships between the soldiers in the 2nd Mass. As already mentioned, they wouldn't have taken the risk with Weaver because he is too unpredictable - he could fly off the handle at any second and shoot up the place, whereas Tom is more likely to sit and listen (albeit begrudgingly) for the sake of his community and his kids. I also could see Pope being pissed because of Weaver letting Tom negotiate with the aliens rather than killing them. Pope would definitely see a wasted opportunity. This finale indicates that he and Tom may finally be starting to meet on common ground, but first and foremost, Pope's focus and priority is the eradication of the aliens. This is at the risk of anyone who happens to be along for the ride. If Pope goes after the ship, he may pull Tom out if only to slap him around for not seizing the opportunity to take those aliens out. I'm not quite sure what it means that harnessed kids know the names of people they are talking to. Is it the human kid in them who knows it still? or as Weaver was suspecting, do the aliens have a way to read humans' minds? As it's been suggested in the show, the transition from human to skitter is a slow process. I suspect that they don't quite lose all of their human traits until the transition is complete and they are fully-fledged, multi-limbed skitters.

I hate cliffhangers! The season finale was great. I can't wait for season 2. I wish summer 2012 would hurry up. I miss Falling Skies. As I watched the ending and Tom took Karen's hand, I was like no Tom, what are you doing? Don't do that, go back with Weaver and turn the truck around and drive as fast as you can. Don't go on. But it's ok, now we can learn more about the aliens and maybe this will help connect back more to each characters past. I don't believe the aliens are going to hurt Tom. I hope they don't try and erase his memory after they talk to each other or whatever they are going to do with Tom. I wonder what Weaver is going to tell everyone. I wonder how his son's are going to react. So many questions. Lots of thinking about season 2 I have been doing. I will just have to wait for season 2. I can't wait! Edit: matineeidyll that was my face when Tom was about to aboard the ship and this too " ".

The cliffhanger was "inevitable". And I can understand why they "needed" to do it... And I don't think they're going to "hurt" him. But I'm almost sure they're going to "manipulate" him. Those aliens seem to know more things about humans than humans about them....
P.S. Love your avi, princess7!
