Karen Nadler is a Scout in the Second Mass and Hal's girlfriend. She lost her family in the invasion.

She is also very attractive. I wonder what the Skidders and Mechs did with her. Should be interesting to find out!

Yes, but it looks like we'll have to wait to find out. She returns in the 7th episode. Drew Roy (Hal) said that this is a great episode, though, so it should be good.

Karen is definitely my favorite character. I don't even think she was mentioned in tonight's episode, though.

Karen is definitely my favorite character. I don't even think she was mentioned in tonight's episode, though. Yes, I know! You'd think there would be some mention of rescuing her, but no. Ben is always priority. Thank God they finally got him back so they can move on to other things.

Karen has been mentioned a lot on forums, blogs, and in reviews. The fans and critics seem to really like her, so hopefully the writers take note and include her more next season.

So, Karen is FINALLY back on the show! What does everyone think about the fact that she's harnessed?

So, Karen is FINALLY back on the show! What does everyone think about the fact that she's harnessed? Can't say I'm surprised since she was missing for so long. While they could certainly kill her off quickly, I guess there is also a chance that she will finally become more of a major character leading into next season. I'm hoping she's on the duration of the show, obviously.

I think Karen is going to be a major character in the second season. If there is to be a change in physical appearance to our human bodies she might be the one to watch. This doesn't mean that the kids that have been unharnessed will be in the clear but, what if they can't get to her, but see her from time to time and odd things start to transform her. She isn't being treated like the other harnessed children. To me it looks like she has been granted special privileges by the aliens. The other kids look like they are in a dream state and can't speak but she is allowed to communicate. This of course means that the aliens are using her to get to the others, but also shows that there are degrees to their control. It's not cut and dry.

I really look forward to seeing how this season progresses. We haven't seen any other harnessed kids this season yet.

There's some big storylines for Karen coming up. She'll be back soon and her return might not be as simple as a welcome back party... in fact there's gonna be some major turmoil when she comes back. She'll be returning very, very soon (for those that don't know - check the upcoming episode titles) and if you've seen spoiler pics you'll see there's some Mason interaction and returning just in time to ruin a Halgie lovefest so Halgie fans be sad, Kal fans giggle and clap and everyone else watch out - because Karen might no longer be the sweetheart bad-ass we knew in Season 1!

KAREN MUST DIE I am sorry to say that. I know at her core she is still human, and it was not her choice but she has caused too much trouble.....given too much aid to the enemy....and is such a direct and proximate threat to human life that someone HAS to shoot her. Like Spock said "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.....or the one." Towards the end of the fight scene at the base of the weapon they had a clear shot at her !! I would have taken her out (and asked God's forgiveness)
