Don't worry, I'm sure that doesn't mean it's the last we'll hear from her! She is, after all, a freedom fighter. ;D

Tom dragging that skitter down the hallway was great. Reminded me of that scene from Independence Day when Will Smith's character was dragging that alien through the desert that he shot down.

I finally got a chance to watch the episode ;D and as many, I liked it better than the first two episodes.
I liked a lot that it tackles the very complex question of what the price of a human life is, how you can compare one life to another... This is a very dark question, and Tom Mason seems so far to be quite naive about this question, at least at first sight. He seems to have these naive ideas about heroism and freedom, when he says for instance that at least the kids will die free. I liked that at least they put the sentence "well maybe I'm not as intelligent as you think I am" in his mouth.
This is a very "Spielbergian" theme. In Schindler's List, there is this heartbreaking scene when Oskar Schindler realizes he could have saved more lives if he had spared more money... In Saving Private Ryan, it's the continuous question of why a group of young soldiers should take so much risk to save just one guy.
Here the conversation between Tom and Harris towards the end is all about that. At first Harris may look like the bad guy, but he rationalizes it by thinking he is the one who will save the kids. Tom is the typical heroic guy, thinking you have to do all you can, even be ready to sacrifice yourself, to save more lives, in what he says at least. But you can see that he was willing to save Ben first and is not happy about Mike's behavior to take his kid first and ruin the mission. He wanted his wife saved over Harris of course.
In situations of war, many people will die, some will be saved, and it's totally random and this randomness is horribly painful, and both Tom and Harris are trying to make sense out of it, to rationalize it in their own ways. Tom has this simple idea that the ones saved have "to become the best of mankind". What is the best of mankind anyway? A guy like Pope may not seem to be the best of mankind at all, but the fact that he can cook makes him very helpful here. Harris is not brave and ran away in a dangerous situation, but he can save kids. Tom tries to be the hero, but his motives are selfish. He wants his three kids alive and safe... And it's not a wrong attitude. I'm very interested in the likely upcoming conflicts in his mind about that.

Finally, i coul watch the episodes! I will not speak of the pilots. No top!! But i liked the third!!
What I enjoyed: - the scene between Harris and Tom. I liked how slowly Harris admits was a coward for a wife's Tombut that it was human nature and also how he feel guilty Tom I had not understood, at first, that his wife had died after the attack.
- The scene between Tom and alien even though the scene was short and easy. I wanted a little more battle... i really laughed when he lit the lamp in the face and jump in my couch when he lit a alien, I knew he had to be close but i didn't know so close
- How it brings the alien in front of everyone ( as W Smith in the Independance Day)
- I found terrible when the alien orders the robot to execute children! At first, i didn't understand why. Thank yiou to Tom for the explanation. I remembered a movie " Escape from Sobibor": the prisoners tried to escape and have been caught. To punish and deter, they must choose someone who will die with them and if they refuse to chhose, the nazis killed 50 other persons... horrible!
- and especially the final scene that leave a big suspens. One wonders what will happen with the child. I love this kind of end where i say " I want to know more, I WANT TO KNOW!!"
What i hated: - Why people around Tom and Matt stop around them and look stupid ( it looks like it is they who have a harness!) i found this old-fashionned because of that
- the music: too this and too annoying
- too many American stereotypes. For example, Weaverit irritates me
- the fact that Tom is all one his shoulders. The military does what except to give orders
- and Matt too temperamental, his brother is a prisoner and he wants to play...
Fairly positive for this episode I think and hope it's a serie that will ramp up It would be interesting for further details about the robot, the fact taht they don't like the aliens
