Would have really hated to see the number of commercials if this hadn't had limited commercials, lol.

Watching the repeat of the premiere, couldn't catch it earlier. It looks good so far.

Watched the premiere tonight. Like several others, I didn't like all the commercials but I will admit either there were less in the second part or I just got used to them.
Great show. I missed the first five minutes, so I was lost for awhile. Thankfully, it was replayed right afterwards so I got caught up quick.

Has anyone seen the show yet? I saw it tonight and to be honest, I was very apprehensive about it. Sci-fi is not a big interest of mine and I almost felt like I had to check it out due to some loyalty to Noah Wyle. I wasn't sure I would like it and I was not as excited as anyone else here. I am glad I started off with middling expectations because surprisingly, it's a very good show! I was thoroughly entertained and have no doubt I'll keep watching it and continue to enjoy it. It has just the right mixture of action and quieter drama and the actors are all very good in their roles and extremely believable in whatever they're trying to sell. There are moments that seem overly sentimental and schlocky, especially in comparison to what comes on HBO and Showtime dramas, but it gives the show a sweetness and life affirming quality that is rarely present in most shows. It's slightly old-fashioned and doesn't have much edge but it's lot of fun and I don't ask for much more than that. Coming to Noah himself, although I'm a big beard hater, it works for the character and it's not hard to get used to. He works extremely well as a father figure because of his natural warmth and you can feel the bond between him and the children. What did surprise me was that even when he was shooting aliens and running around with his gun, it felt organic and worked. This doesn't feel like the young, bubbly Carter just dressed up as a warrior which is what I was fearful about. Noah isn't as bad an action hero as he claims. I hope TNT gets great ratings for it. The show deserves it. The great thing for me is that I really liked the show itself and not just Noah. I started watching for him but I will stick with it for all the characters and the story.
